English Spot

20 May, 13:44, by admin

The English Spot gets its name partly from its heritage and partly from its appearance. This breed has a unique, and somewhat comical, look. They are white with colored spots (usually black or blue) on their nose and cheeks. They have circles around their eyes and colored ears. The spots can vary from rabbit to rabbit. Some have them on their side; others have them on their hind legs. Most have a stripe going down their back, but sometimes the stripe has a well defined edge and sometimes the edge is jagged.

English Spots are a medium sized breed. They grow, typically, to be 5 to 8 pounds. They have a long, arched body to support their long legs. The ears of English Spots are long and stand erect. Their coat is short and easy to groom.

Although English Spots are not recommended for families with small children, they do make good pets. They need to be handled from an early age so they can get used to it. English Spots are calm animals that enjoy playing, as well as running and jumping. They are tolerant of other animals so they are appropriate for homes that already have other pets.
